- Maulik Gandhi is the founder and owner of Brabham Driving School.

A privately run business with a focus on providing quality, friendly and efficient driving lessons to all clients.I run my business by myself, so you know that with every lesson you'll receive nothing less than my best, lots of encouragement and friendly service ☺

Experience

Fully qualified ( Government Accreditation and Working with Children Accreditation ) and with years of experience I'm able to fully manage each student's driving lesson and customise my teaching style to the skill and needs of the individuals.
I aim to teach you driving skills for life in a fun and informative environment with no stress. I can give instructions in clear and plain English, Hindi and Gujarati ensuring all students receive quality structured training and are safe and confident on the road.

EARLY STAGE

CAB drill - When starting your car, do you:
  • Put on your seat belt and make sure others are buckled?
  • Make sure your mirrors and seat are adjusted properly?
  • Know where all the controls are located?
When moving forward, do you:
  • Turn on your signal?
  • Check your mirrors and look over your shoulder before pulling into traffic?
  • Use both hands on opposite sides of the steering wheel?
When stopping, do you:
  • Check traffic all around?
  • Stop behind crosswalks and limit lines?
  • Stop without keeping your foot on the gas?
When backing up, do you:
  • Check your mirrors?
  • Look over both shoulders?

HALFWAY THROUGH

Observation Techniques Hazard Perception & Risk Management

When driving on the freeway and highway, do you:
  • Check the traffic flow?
  • Time your entry onto the freeway?
  • Check your mirrors and over your shoulder before merging into traffic?
  • Signal early and slow on the exit ramp?
  • Adjust your speed to the current road conditions?
When it comes to defensive driving, do you:
  • Keep a lookout all around, including way up ahead?
  • Check your mirrors before braking?
  • Follow at a safe distance?
  • Check cross streets before passing?
  • Check for signal lights and hand signs?
  • Keep a “space cushion” around your car?

ALMOST THERE

Full training notes are provided on the “5 parks” you will need to know as well as the “Left Something Behind” exercise. Mock Driving Tests are included in your training. Exploring the test routes around licensing centers.

So we ask that if you have booked a lesson we would appreciate if you are unable to make your lesson please provide us with “1 full working days notice to avoid a Cancellation Fee that will apply”.
